Read here why Louise wants to travel on our tour to Provence in June 2024.
I’m a true Francophile and I just adore France. I love sharing my passion for France with people who are keen to see this beautiful country through my eyes. There is so much to appreciate: the language, the culture, some magnificent as well as humble architecture, stunning landscapes, wonderful restaurants, many exciting activities and, of course, some great shopping!
My particular passion is writing about the villages and beautiful sights of France, especially Provence and the French Riviera, and taking memorable images to share with Francophiles everywhere.
I absolutely love the architecture in the south of France – the beautiful blonde stone, the terracotta roof tiles, and the array of colorful shutters and doors. I must have hundreds of photos of shutters alone – we don’t have anything like this in Australia. I just can’t get enough of old villages, incredible churches, beautiful gardens, and enchanting town squares.
When I return home, I realize that my most memorable moments are when I connect with some of the locals in everyday situations.
Like the enthusiastic young man in Vaison-la-Romaine who (along with his partner) create the most delicious nougat and pate de fruits I’ve ever tasted.
Or the lady who I chatted with for quite a while about why she was so passionate about the restoration of her local church.
Or the local man who, upon hearing that I was overdue for my morning coffee, poured me one from his own flask and into his only cup, and chatted with me whilst I drank it.
These are the memories that mean the most to me.
Come and see France through my eyes and, if you’d like to practice your French a little, we can share some conversation. My French isn’t perfect, but I certainly get by. Learn how to compose a photo to take your memories home with you. Or you can completely relax because I’ll be taking lots of images, and I’ll share them all with my ladies at the end of the tour.
Discover some of my favourite places, enjoy wonderful adventures and really connect with beloved France.
