Susan Blakey Interview: Why travel with a style expert to Paris?

Why do you want to travel with your readers?

Paris is my “happy place” and I love sharing my Paris travels with my readers. Over the years, I’ve received several requests to organize a Paris tour for my followers, featuring some of my favorite spots and activities in Paris. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to do so!

What makes Paris the perfect destination for this Fashion tour in your opinion?

Paris has always been one of the world’s premier fashion capitals, and remains an epicenter of everyday chic. There’s an appreciation of details, not just in fashion but in art, architecture and food. Fashion and style are part of the life and culture here, and I love just sitting at a café and being inspired by Parisians’ everyday style.

What can your readers expect to experience by joining you on this tour?

Along with exploring some of my favorite spots in Paris (and discovering new ones) in a small-group atmosphere, it will be an opportunity to connect with like-minded women, and share laughter and experiences.

As a personal style expert, what are some of the unique advantages your guests will enjoy during this trip?

We’ll look at how “real-world style” in Paris differs from the stereotypes, and how to translate Parisian style to life at home. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite shopping destinations, and will be available to offer color and style guidance, if you wish.

Where do you find your own inspiration for personal style and your blog content?

Everywhere, really! From travel, from other bloggers and influencers all around the world, from art and history, from what resonates with me at any particular moment.

Do you expect the women joining this trip to inspire you as well? In what way?

I’m always so inspired by other women! What they’ve accomplished in their lives, how they engage with the world and continue to grow and gain wisdom.

How are you planning to make this Paris experience special, personal, and memorable for your guests?

In addition to sharing some of my favorite style and fashion destinations, I’ll be offering tips on finding one’s best colors and styles, and how to apply that knowledge while putting outfits together and shopping in Paris.

Can women who are new to your blog or haven’t yet followed your style journey still join the tour? What would you tell them?

Yes, of course! If you love Paris and are interested in style and fashion, there will be something for you, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth.
